WEEKLY REFLECTION 4

24/01/2022-29/01/2022

This was the fourth week of our school internship program. Due to covid conditions the schools were closed and the online classes continues till. The teachers have to go to the school compulsory. So we the teacher trainees also go to the school on these days. We have got a lot of time to prepare for the online classes. Also we had a lot of memorable experiences from the school. We reached the school as usuall. Spend our time in the school. We had opportunities to talk freely with our headmaster and subject teachers.

I had class on 28/01/22 Friday on 9 th class. I continued the unit Biology Of Movement . I took the topic human skeleton with the help of ICT. Our option head Anisha Ma'am observed my class. Also the biology teacher of MVGHSS observed my class. They gave me a satisfying comment.

On 29/01/22 Saturday also I had class on 9th standard. I took the topic types of joints. I prepared PowerPoint presentation for taking the class. I also presented some activities for the students. The biology teacher observed my class and she gave me a positive comment.

On taking the classes I got much more confidence for taking online classes.

WEEKLY REFLECTION--3

17/01/22-21/01/22

This was the third week of our school internship program. The first day of this week start by monday. On this day I've class at 8th standard. So i continued the unit Diversity for sustenance and i taught the topic ex-situ conservation. I used charts and ict for teaching. Then we had a nice meeting with the students of another college who came for their school induction program.

On the 12th day of our school internship program we reached the school at 9.15 am. After signing the attendance we prepared for our classes. On this day i have class at 8 B on the first period. So I prepared to take the topic Trophic levels and ecological interactions. I used a still model of trophic level and chart and ICT. Our beloved principal Dr. Darsana Ma'am visited and observed my class. She gave me more comments to improve myself and gave me more ideas to better my classes. Also on this day our Physical education sir Mr. sujith visited us and checked our lessonplan. And on the fourth period I had a class on 8 B again. So I took the topic In- situ conservation. I used ICT and chart and activity card for teaching.

On the 13 th day also we reached the school at 9.15 am. Then we talked to our headmaster for sometime. The 10 th standard students have their school exams on these days. So some of our teacher trainees got invigilation duty. Also some of the students of 9 classes have got covid positive. So they won't have any class. Today I had class on 8 th B. I continued the unit and taught the topic skeleton outside the body and difference between locomotion and movement. When the school time is over the headmaster gave all the students an instruction to keep away from covid virus. Also we take helth education class on 8 th D on the topic HYPOKINETIC disorders.

The next day is 20/01/22 . On this day I had class on 9 th standard. So taught about various skeletal and muscular disorders. I used ICT chart and activity cards. Also on this day we had taken a cobscientization program on Child Abuse. The students are highly reactive about this topic.

As we all know the schools were closed due to covid issues. So on the next day onwards the schools started to take online classes. We have also got the online class time tables. On the fifth day also we reached the school as usual and prepared for our online classes.

Weekly Reflection 2

10/01/2022-15/01/2022

This was the second week of our teaching practice session. On this week I had classes on both 8th and 9th. On the first day of this week (10/01/22) Monday I reached the school at 9.15 am and I was able to know that this day was celebrated as "World Hindi Day". So the school arranged a program on this "Hindi Diwas". The program ended at 11.30 am. This day I doesn't have any class. So I just visited the school garden and talked to our subject teacher about my classes.

On the second day (11/01/22) of this week, the seventh day of our teaching practice session started at 9.15 am. The head master gave us an information that there is a strike today as a result of the political homicide that occured in our state. So the school was dismissed at 10.30 am. After that we talked to the teachers ,visited the school office and school premises.

The third day of this week (12/01/22) Wednesday also we reached the school at 9.15 am. After that we talked to head master and teachers. We were able to know about the sad demise of a student of the school. So the school decided to dismiss at 12 pm. I had class on 8 B on the third period. So I started the topic Food chain and food web. I showed a model of food web and also arranges the students in the form of a food chain. The class was very good for me that I tried my best.

On the fourth day of this week (13/01/22) I reached the school at 9.15 am. After talking with our head master we prepared for our classes. I had class on both 8 th and 9 th. So in the 8 th standard I continued the chapter diversity for sustenance. I taught the topic ex-situ conservation. I used charts and Ict for teaching. The class was effective as I used ICT. On the 3 rd period I take a class on YOGA. I taught about the CHAKRASANA. I used ICT to show a demonstration of the asana. The students were very interested. On the fourth period I had class on 9 th D. So I took the topic importance of exercise and Muscle Fatigue. The class was effective and the learning outcomes are easily achieved. The school also arranged a program on "National Youth Day". On this program there is a debate between the youth and the students. The program was also good.

On the 5 th day of this week reached the school at 9.15 am. After signing the attendance register we reached the staffroom and arranged our classes. On this day I had class on 9 th B. I continued the unit Biology of Movement. I took the topic Structure of a typical joint. I used a model of structure of joint , chart, activity cards and ICT for taking the class. The class was also very effective and the learning outcomes are easily achieved. The class was observed by our Natural science teacher. She gave some suggestions for me. I am much excited and the moment was good for me.

The school is very active at all time. The school organizes two programs this week. One on World Hindi Day and the other on National Youth Day. Both programs was very useful for the students. Also the school's SPC( student police cadet) was fuctioning very effectively.

WEEKLY REFLECTION 1

First phase of teaching internship program

03/01/2022-07/01/2022

This was the first week of teaching practice session. I reached the school at 9.15 am. Then we had a meeting with our headmaster. He gave us a lot of instructions. Later we talked to our subject teachers. They gave us the proper timetable. This week I had classes on both 8 and 9 standards. On 03/01/22 I had class on 9 B. So I started the unit "Biology Of Movemet". On this first day I taught about "voluntary and involuntary movements". Proper planning for taking the class was already done. The students were very active and this day gave me a satisfying experience.

On the second day 04/01/22 I had class on both 8 A and B. So I started the unit " Diversity for sustenance". I covered "Ecology Biosphere" and " Biotic and abiotic factors". The classes was taken as per my lesson transcript. Activities were given to ensure proper student participation. ICT was used to images of biosphere. Our concerned sir observed my class. He gave me a satisfying comment.

On the third day 04/01/22, I have no class. So I visited our subject teacher and signed the teaching aids. Then I went to observe the peer class. I got many new experiences and informations from the class. After we were assigned to manage the students at IT lab. This day was also satisfying for me.

On the fourth day 06/01/22 I had class on 9th standard. I continued the unit "Biology of Movement ". So I took the topic " Types of muscles ". ICT was used to show the video of different types of muscles and their position in the body.

On this fifth day 07/01/22 I had class on 8th standard. I continued the unit "Diversity for sustenance". I taught the topic Biodiversity and Biodiversity Depletion. The students were much interested to the class as I was using ICT to show the video of reasons for biodiversity depletion. The school time is over at 3.30 pm. So we left the school at 3.30 pm.

All these five days gave me a nice experience. I think that my life has got some meaning as I deal with the students, knowing their happiness, problems; finding some solutions for their problems, their love for us; all are such a beautiful experience.
